Custom glove boxes??

Any of you ever remove the actual glove box and put something custom in there like your stereo or switches or shelves etc.... and do you have any pics? Just a momentary brain fart I had.

Tim, one of these days I will get around to mounting my CD player in there. Just haven't had time. I have a perfect Chrome AM radio I am putting back in the dash for a stock look.

Had a friend that put an stereo equalizer in there years back. I bet you could retrofit a cooler to fit in there to hold your lunch, pop or...

I thought I had a save pic of my glove box cd mount. It is similar to Gman's. I did find a cool bed pic though. I will see if I can snap a pic of the glove box this pm.

Dean23,

I'm going to guess that GMAN used another glovebox door for his. So why not get one chromed , or "David King" (king parts) here on the boards, Sells a Polished stainless insert for the front of the govebox face. I'd sell you mine, but it's packed for the move and I don't remember where.. Boy what a mess it's going to be, to get re-setup.

That stereo install looks very neat and professional but it seems a shame to waste all that storage space just to fit a stereo in. Has anybody subdivided a glove box up into more useful storage copmpartments. I have everything just chucked in and you have to spend five minutes scuffling about to find what you're looking for. Any split level gloveboxes out there, you could fit a stereo and still have a lot of space, more than most modern cars. My wifes 2002 Jeep Cherokee (Liberty to you guys) certainly justifies the name glove-box, a pair of gloves and a pack of gum and it's full!

Folks,

Sorry, I don't have anymore info on it.......I got the idea off a truck that was for sale on EBAY last month. Added it to my "to do" file of things for the truck. Wish I could've been of more help. Sure gives me some ideas though.

Ah, the rare "head of a small child in the glovebox" option.
