New...From NC
Hey guys (and gals if any), I am new to the forum. This is a great site, thanks so much for this great place to see many of the great trucks you guys own.
A little about me...I work for a NASCAR collectibles distributor in the Charlotte area, have been selling NASCAR merchandise either retail or wholesale for the past 12+ years. I got my love for trucks from my brother. he had a two tone Blue and White '79 Silverado longbed when he was in high school and I loved it. My first vehicle was a 64 1/2 mustang, my 2nd was a 82 SWB chevy with a 400 small block. My next truck was a '95 Silverado ext cab shortbed. I then bought a '72 Longbed with a 350, auto at the same time my wife was driving a 84 suburban. Then I took a break (cause of lack of money), until now. Here is my 85 GMC Sierra Classic. This truck was found in Greensboro by accident, I was actually going to look at a Shortbed and figured if I was driving that far I may as well try to see a couple in one day. This thing drove like brand new. I am not exagerating at all, this truck didnt have a squeak. I paid $3600 for it, put on duals and changed the oil and thats it. It is too nice for me to drive to work as I had originally planned, so now I have purchased a White 86 SWB (I am so jealous AceX). It is in the shop today, getting the AC charged and new tires. I will put picks of it on soon. |
