RARE Blazer??
I think I have found a Rare K5 Blazer. I think it is a 1982 or 83
It is a 4X4 without air and has the SM465. What I think is rare about it is, it says 'Chevrolet Engineered G-84 High Altitude Special" Have you guys ever heard of this Blazer? I have many over the years and have NEVER heard of this truck. The emblem is on the back quarter panel. Thanks guys |

Re: RARE Blazer??
I've never heard of it. Is it gas or diesel? I'm guessing the fuel system is different, because air pressure so different at high altitudes.

Re: RARE Blazer??
When you click "Post Reply" and you get the text box for writing your post/message, scroll down the page a bit more and look for the gray button that says "Manage Attachments" click it, another window will open. If you've got the picture on your computer you will want to click one of the "Browse" buttons in the new window, navigate to the picture on your computer, select it, click "Open", click "Upload" on the window that popped up for managing attachments. After some time, that window will refresh and your image file will be listed. Now you can click "Close this window" in the top right of the recently refreshed window, and you will be brought back <<here>> to the text box for writing a post/message. Just click "Submit Reply" as you would do normally and your picture should be at the bottom of your message.

Re: RARE Blazer??
Never seen that before. Is it listed on the option sheet in the glove box (if the sticker is still there)?

Re: RARE Blazer??
I was kinda interested so I did a quick google search and found that it was also available on 82 Monte Carlo's and looks to have something to do with the rear axle on them. Not sure if it helps any but its something.
http://www.angelfire.com/ny2/82Monte/codes.html About halfway down the page it shows a G 84 option. |

Re: RARE Blazer??
I did some looking around as well, Found the same G84 on Cameros and S10 trucks. This is from the S10 RPO codes..... G84 : AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO
High altitude meaning 4.10 for climbing mountains ?
