In my opinion, can't be done-looks bad no matter what.

I'm sorry, but IMO, they just do not and can not look real good with those beds. The red truck and Mike's truck are very, very nice trucks, but when I see both of them I think to myself "Man, they would look awesome if had the correct bed on it" (step or fleet) The bodylines do somewhat line up, but the little ridge at the top of the bed matches nothing on our trucks. The '88 - '98 trucks had the same ridge on the rest of the truck. The other thing is the wheelwells. They just don't flow well IMO, but that just my opinion. If you guys like it, its your truck, and that's all that matters.

if you saw mike's truck in person like i did, you would love it. that thing looks awesome. you gotta see the composite boards he used instead of the steel floor. this guy is a true artist and the bed just blends in. forget the wheelwells. when you stand in front of it, the last thing you think about is missmatch

I have seen one of the newer beds that had the 67/72 wheel arch fiberglassed in and it makes a world of difference.

Your truck has become the inspiration for my 68' c10 project. I am looking at the 2001-2005 sportside box. Did you have to do any frame modifications outside of shorting it? I am wondering if I will need to modify the width or height of the bed.
