I am feeling the same way only I have not painted my stuff yet so I can Beat the hell of them and make them fit. Start at the top of the fender and work your way around to the bottom. The two bolts that go into the fender lip dont line up at all. Have fun I cant understand how they can produce such crap. They were not cheep either $150 per tub Can.

$150.....$80....... FREE??? IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER IF THEY DON'T FIT OR WORK. THEY'RE ALL WORTH THE SAME -O-.

The word is patience guys. Instead of a hammer, use a punch (the steel kind, not your knuckles). Just get a couple of turns on each bolt as you get them in. Only once you've got most/all started can you start tightening bolts. It takes prying and monkeying with order to get them on. Keep in mind that you fender, cab, and core support MAY not be in line either, and if these pieces can be loosened that may help as well.

I have some aftermarket wells that I got bolted up a couple of years ago. Replaced the rusted out core support, and now they really don't line up (but hey, I also had the fenders, hood and cab loose and or off as well). I figure once I get my rockers welded back on I'll do battle once more.

I've been told, that the fit of factory original took a bit of work as well, but I've never tried with OEM fenders.

When I installed those useless pieces of poo on my 74 chevy, I found that I had to redrill most of the holes, I guess thats what you get for 50 cents a day labour, someone must be making a killer off of patch panels and fenders.

I've redone two or three oem fenders and it's always a pain to get them to line up as well. Like was already said, the best way that I've ever found is to start bolts in the oes that more or less line up and use a small punch un the open holes to pry everything else into place. The ones on the bottom can also sometimes be "encouraged" with a strategically placed bottle jack
