place your bets...
how much will this truck sell for at berrett-jackson ???
Auction: PALM BEACH 2010 Sale Price: Year: 1984 Make: GMC Model: SIERRA Style: CUSTOM TRUCK Exterior Color: RED Interior Color: RED Cylinders: 8 Engine Size: 383 Transmission: AUTOMATIC Summary: Custom Built Extended Cab Show Truck, V8 383cid stroker engine with a 400 turbo automatic. Super Chevy Show Award Winner. May not be emissions compliant in all 50 states. Details: 10 Years in Design. Super Chevy Magazine October 2006 Show, Outstanding 4x4 Winner and Custom 4x4 Winner. This is a one-of-a-kind 1984 GMC 4x4 Dually Extended cab Truck, which General Motors didn't even build in 1984. This truck is custom built from the ground up with body-off restoration. The truck has a beautiful triple fade custom DuPont paint, three colors blended, that goes from factory Chevy color Victory Red to a Burgundy on the bottom. Even the under side of the body & frame has a custom splatter paint job. Frame has been painted with Por-15 inhibitor. Even the paint on the under side is gorgeous. The body is a 1984 GMC regular cab on a 3/4-ton 4x4 chassis. The frame and the body were stretched 29" to make it an extended cab. The rear fenders are steel, not fiberglass. Also equipped with dual gas tanks with the doors in the rear fenders that will hold approximately 50 gallons of fuel for those long hauls. This truck is built to tow with the 383cid stroker engine that delivers 300 HP at 400 ft. lbs., has lots of chrome and runs on unleaded fuel with a heavy duty Turbo 400 automatic transmission behind it. Also, front power disc brakes and power steering. Many modern conveniences make this truck very user friendly. AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system with remote controls and Dakota Digital dash instrumentation which shows approximately 1060 miles on the odometer since frame-off restoration. Has a low fuel warning light, air conditioning, cruise control, intermittent wipers, rolled & pleated leather interior and 40/20/40 split front seat with folding center arm rest with cup holders. Seats six with seat belts. Too many options to list. Custom design steering wheel, chrome weld wheels, dual map lights, passenger vanity mirror and chrome front and rear bumpers. **MAY NOT BE EMISSIONS COMPLIANT IN ALL 50 STATES** closet one to the number wins.....

Re: place your bets...
I'm going with 30k, and I think thats high for Barret Jackson. It may be a lot of truck but Barret Jackson may not be the venue for this type of vehicle. Personally I would buy it, swap the steering wheel with something less flashy and drive the wheels off of it!

Re: place your bets...
I really don't think it will pull much in at Barrett Jackson. Like Slofarmtruck said, not really the best venue for that sort of truck. But you never know. I saw a nice looking '48 Continental tonight that I think went for less than $20g. The way some of those cars sell amazes me, both for too much money and too little as well.
But I will say $17g though...which is way too much.

Re: place your bets...
20k I would much rather buy that truck instead of a new one of course im sure there will be a reserve and weather that reserve will be met may be the ultimate question.

Re: place your bets...
Overall the truck is nice but the rear windows just don't flow well with the front window lines.
