Im looking to see if I can contact the original owner of my 71 K/20. I have his name and address, but its from 40 years ago. Any ideas?? He was from Portland Oregon.

well, sorta, they will let you search, then if you want the info, then yes ya gotta pay, all the sites like that charge

I called information (411) and I actually got to speak to the original owner of the 68 anniv. I have now. I got the original title and thought hey what the heck, gave operator city and state, got his home number, spoke with his wife who gave me his work number and 20 minutes later I knew that the windshield had been broke since 1978 and he never bothered to fix it.

Joe, I tried locating the first owner of my truck when I bought it from Andrew. never had any luck and I tried, believe me I tried. I even put an add in the local Wyoming newspaper!

Most counties have a GIS (Geospatial Information System) that has aerial info and property info available for ya....If you know the state and city you should at least be able to look for him in that area....if ya need help with it, Let me know....I like doing stuff like this.....

Also...ever try plugging his name into google??

many states dmv offer a title search. it cost me less than 10 dollars in Wisconsin to get a copy of the old title. it was from California and had previous owners name and address. i took a chance and sent a letter. 2 weeks later i got a phone call from him stating his uncle was original owner of my 69 c-10 and he would send some pictures and history.
