gas tank drain
does anyone know if there is a drain plug on a cab mounted gas tank, or any way to drain it with out removing the tank?

If there isn't a tap to drain off the fuel line out the bottom of the tank, drain it by disconnecting the fuel line. You don't want to remove the tank with fuel in it unless you can avoid it, first it will be too heavy, second you will probably spill fuel in the cab.

There is no plug/drain. I remove the fuel line under to cab and let it siphon off as much as possible into a gas can. Then I take my air compressor with the blower and cup my hand over the filler neck and put some pressure in the tank and hold my hand over it. Sounds like someone taking a wizz under the cab. Just gets a little boring standing around with you hand over the cap. I wonder if a cap could be 'massaged' to take a tire valve stem. Talk about getting the unleaded out.

I've always pulled mine with what ever was left in the tank.

If your truck is like mine, you could just start it up and it'll drain the tank pretty quick by itself. HEHE.
When I pulled mine, I siphoned what I could out and then pulled it with about 1/4 tank in it. No problems at all.
