I was told that blazers and short beds use the same frame??? So - - one could take the body from a 4 wd blazer and put it onto a frame from a short bed 2 wd?? Could this be so?

Unless you want to shorten the truck box a couple inches they are not the same.

THe wheelbase of the Blazer is shorter.

body mounts are different too.

So are the rear framerails. The trucks are straight while the Blazer/Jimmy turn down and have bumper mounts on them. Blazer has 104" wheelbase. Truck 112".

Oops. 115" on WB is correct for SB, but Blazer is 104".
