Air rails on headers?

Ok, Im swapping my 250 I6 with 3 on the tree for a 350/TH350 combo. My question is, do I have to run headers with Air rails?

its on a 80 Chevy C10, in california. Where would I find out wich smog equipment I have to run?

dont quote me on this cuz Im not a engine swap expert. BUT Im pretty sure that if you want to do it by the books then the motor has to be the same year or newer, and it has to have all the smog equipment that the NEW motor had when it was stock (the one you're swapping in)..

So youd have to find out what vehicle the engine came in and reference its smog equipment..

california sucks

Go into a shop, or call a shop, or whoever runs that outfit and ask them. I can tell you for now you will need...
AIR pump and pipes
CAT(s)
EGR
PCV
Heat riser valve
Thermavac air cleaner
Fuel vapor canister
Vacuum lines running all over the place to hook all that stuff up
You need all of it too. I came in there one time, no vacuum lines, disconnected EGR, no heat riser. Only things I had were pretty much CAT and AIR. Had an open air cleaner and K&N. Passed sniffer test clean. Failed me for visual. Came in the next week I went back in there with all that crap on, passed, but not as clean as the week before.

Yup, the engine came out of an 80 Work truck also, so it is the same year.
