looking at a k30 crew cab some ?'s

ok i found a good k30 crewcab that im looking at buying for my swap, anyways the guy says the truck is beat has 167k miles with NOTHING rebuilt all im looking at using here is the frame axles and transfer case, will these be okay for a while or will they need a rebuild for sure?

That completely depends on the truck and how it was used or abused, whichever the case may be. I have seen 5ok mile trucks that need rebuilt, but my grandpa has a riding mower that has never been wet and it looks like new. The mower is 20 plus years old. I would just check for slop and slack, and definately check the fluid for metal shavings. That is a good indication.

The seller sounds very honest, the stuff you want to use is probably OK. Does it run and drive?

well i went and saw the truck. its really beat truck was hit hard on the side at one point in its life as the frame was bent. And the rear end was howling. the search continues. I also ran a carfax was last inspected for miles in march 2003 343k miles...
