Talking is your transmission tail shaft centered between your frame rails? I need a favor! :)

I am doing a 6.0 swap and the engine looks to be very slightly crooked. the tranny tailshaft is about .5" to the drivers side.

can anyone pull a tape across their tranny tailshaft and see if it is centered between the frame rails?

thanks!!!!!!!!!!

I just looked and mine is centered. The engine mount stands and trans crossmember bolts have a little play if you need to adjust. Just take the frame stand bolts loose and shift the engine and trans where you need it to be and bolt them back down.

Mine was centered pre-swap, and is again centered post-swap.

thanks. I assumed it was centered but that is not always the case.

My mounts may end up being totally custom. i want the engine set back as far as possible in the bay.

right now i have the carshops mounts and have made the engine stand mod but i am not satisfied with the fit. the more weight i can get to the back the better i will feel

I made my own mounts, and Im pretty sure mines centered. I couldnt imagine why it would be angled unless somethings not right upfront...

dont really matter if it's centered that's what ujoints are for// many many cars came off assembly lines with off centered drivetrains and many millions of miles down the road few people ever knew

i dont think .5 will matter... for example I just went and checked out a guys new rock crawler he is building and its 4 wheel steer... the rear driveline sits at a crazy angle vertically and horrizontally so I wouldnt worry about it
