Re: Hard shifting 205

Have you checked all the linkage for binding underneath the truck?

Are you trying to shift while moving? On pavement? Hubs locked?

Yeah i'm trying to shift it while i'm locked in on pavment spinning cookies while red lined, Why is that bad or improper transfercase shiftting procedere?

No i'm obviously kidding around, And it doesn't matter where you are or what surface your on, there is absolutely zero play or movement in the stick,
it shifts and works properly it just takes about 100 lbs of pressure to move the stick..

Re: Hard shifting 205

What is the proper procedure for engaging 4 wheel drive with 350/350/205 combo? Do you lock the hubs first then shift? Mine too seems to be really hard to shift between 2 and 4 wheel drive!

Re: Hard shifting 205

how often do you change gears? The fresh one we just did is a little stiff the first time you move it, but after that would free up. It is the seals that are cuasing it to be that way on ours.
