The stance is looking a little better

I finally got the 325/50's on the back about a week ago and took the top off. It's a nice time of year to pop the cap off the K5's. I've almost got the stance nailed, I'm going to pull a leaf or two from the rear to dial it in. I want to keep some rake. Anyway, here's a few pics of how it's sitting now.

Re: The stance is looking a little better

Yeah, they're BFG Drag Radials. I sent a couple of inquiries on BFGoodrich's website to see if they'd make 325/50-15's in their Radial TA tire, but they told me their market studies said the demand wasn't there. So I had to get the drag radials to get the size I want. As it turns out, they'll come in handy when the motor is done and in. They are 28" tall, just like the 275/60's up front. The truck has 15x10's all the way around.

Re: The stance is looking a little better

nice! just the look im looking for on the back of my c10. look like you going to have any rubbing issues against the wheel openng once you drop it? id lke to go about 3" lower than your truck in back, was worried about rubbing. also, are your wheels 15x10 with a 5" backspacing? good refernece for me, the chroe smoothies im looking into have a 5" bs.

Re: The stance is looking a little better

Thanks! The wheels have 4.5" back-spacing. But I never intended them to "tuck". I like to get the wheel/tire combo dialed in, then just close the fender to tire gap so the car/truck sits over the tires nicely. A little bit of rake will help it keep the hot rod truck look that I want.

Thanks for the compliments, and it's good to hear from a fellow fat tire lover! I'll be working on it this weekend and will get a few pictures for you and post them.

You think the 325/50's would fit up front without any rubbing?

Re: The stance is looking a little better

I wouldn't put 325's in the front - certainly not drag radials...

Re: The stance is looking a little better

I appreciate the compliments. The trucks here seem to tend toward 18 and 20" rims with much more exotic suspensions than my simple lowering setup over 15's so I appreciate the compliments, and must admit to being surprised since my truck suspension is really simpleton stuff. Thanks again for the compliments.

Well, maybe, but only if the truck wasn't lowered any but they'd stick out of the front wheel-wells a good bit and you don't really want drag radial on the front.

Hey Bruiser do you by any chance have any pics of the tread on those drag radials. Just want to see how much tread they actually have. Thanks.

Bruiser blazer looks good i too like fat, wide tires on the rear.im used to being in the minority on the way i like trucks and cars as i dont care for the whole 20 inch or larger wheel craze.im not knocking anyone who likes that sort of thing its just not for me thats all so its nice to see a more old school type truck.

Bennett in the link to the summit page bruiser bought these tires from there is a blown up pic on there of the tire which shows the tread pattern up close.figuered i would pass that information along.

Nice! I'm old school fat tire guy myself. If you don't mind, can you get a shot from behind? I want to see how it looks. Are the wheels stock rallies?
