Does anybody have a picture or some info on a 1978 original side motor for a square body truck? I never heard of it. Are they reliable, hard to work on etc?

Straight 250ci six is what it should have. Very easy to work on, and just about bullet proof. You can run them hot, and run them OUT of oil repeatedly and they will live to see another day.
