Cab Smells like Fuel/Motor/Crap
Any cures for the cab smelling like fuel and motor components?
These old trucks always have this problem, which is why an old truck always has such a distinct smell. I'm curious t see what people have done to cure this. There's the obvious car fresheners but that's just masking the problem. |

I'd be interested also. Mine was running a little rich, and my wife refused to ride in it for a while. Not entirely a bad thing

Re: Cab Smells like Fuel/Motor/Crap
I've read that the fuel sender unit should be checked. The lines running from the tank to the motor, and all seals in between are important to check and re-inforce. Also the gas cap may have a decrepit rubber seal.
I'd like to see pictures of these items, and examples of what to look for, but I will do some checking on my own. |
