Front inner wheel bearing removal
Struggling through my first bearing change. This sure is simpler in theory than practice The Haynes manual says to use a screwdriver to pry off the grease seal but I can't tell from the picture which part is the grease seal and none seem to be cooperating easily. Is the part I am to pry off the outer ring I've labeled "Green" or the middle rubber ring I've labeled "Rubber" or the inner metal ring I've labeled "metal"?

Re: Front inner wheel bearing removal
save your self some hassle take a screw driver or something and go from inside the hub and hit the bearing out it will pop the seal right out...use the old seal between the new seal and your hammer when banging the new one back in

Re: Front inner wheel bearing removal
The "green" and "rubber" are the same part. The "green" is a metal ring used to hold the rubber seal in place. The part you labeled "metal" in the inner cone of the wheel bearing itself...

Re: Front inner wheel bearing removal
There is an easy way to do it without tools. After you remove the spindle nut and outter bearing. Reinstall the nut. Grab the rotor and pull on it. The nut will hit the inside bearing. You will have to pull it a few times hitting the nut. Once the bearing/seal break loose, they will stay on the spindle and the rotor will come off. Remove the nut along with the old bearing and seal.
Hope my directions make sense.

Thanks diamondjimtwo
That may also prevent denting the parts while hitting them.
