I was about to start working on my flip-kit and I realized the bed seems a little odd. I don't think it's suppose to be like this, but is the bed suppose to have these wood piece spacers between the bed cross-sills and the frame?

I looked at Brothers and they have a bed mounting pad set, but I didn't see anything that was a bushing set or anything. Am I missing something? Or does it seem like the previous owner jimmy rigged this thing?

I seem to remember there bing the rubber pads on mine when I took the bed off, although I don't see them in my bed-bolt bucket. I'm very sure there is no wood spacer between the frame and the bed. I'm hoping to get another stepside this week that I can check closer.

There shouldn't be any wood under the cross-sills that I'm aware of. The factory bed wood did extend side to side between the top of the sill and bottom of the side angle strips.

I just checked at mar-k.com, thought they had instructions posted but I can't find them.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm pretty sure they just put that there to prevent the metal-to-metal contact and noise, but I just want to make sure before I take it off and put it back on.

If anyone could post some pics, I would greatly appreciate it.
