need help with th700r to th400 swap !
ok i have a 91 suburban 1/2 ton 4x4 my friend blew the th700r up and handed me a th400 hd with case, torque converter and drive lines from a 88 burban with 3/4 axles and told me it will be a stronger tranny problem is my 91 has electric speedo and cable kick down. the th400 has cable speedo and what i think is a vac kick down. has any one done this swap that can help tell me what else i might need to make every thing work again.

The Turbo 400 has an electric kick down. You can buy a B&M kick down kit from Summit. I think it was 30 bucks. I sure that a 91 Sub as vacuum lines so hook up the line to one of the vacs. As for the electric speedo, check out this site.

thanks ridin high sorry if i was not clear about my problem my friends called and gave me a hand right after i wrote the post and we think it has a vacuum kick down every thing work except the speedometer since the truck has electronic and the new tranny has cable. witch i would like to work to keep ticket to a minimal.
