Mickey Thompsons Personal roll cage info?

hi i am new to the fourm i bought a 72 jimmy on sunday it is a project needless to say but the guy i bought this from is a retired navy piolet and he gave me a role cage with it and claimed it was Mickey Thompsons personal role cage but we have no way to prove it. he said it came out of Mickey Thompsons blazer that he rolled at Imperial Beach CA. Re: Mickey Thompsons Personal roll cage info?

I can only imagine that Mickey Thompson has had 100 or so roll cages in his career. I'm sure even he could not verify that you have one of his old ones were he alive to do so.

I will say its in very good condtion considering it has no cross bracing and being from a rolled blazer. I suspect its just an unfinished cage that some one had to sell and attached a story for added help.

I would have agreed However it comes with the Jimmy that i bought so there would have been no need to make the story up to get me to take it so I believe him to a point.
