4x4 16" 6 lug Rim

I am wanting to switch from 15" 6 lug to a 16" 6 lug and I have run into the lack of older rims still available in that size that fit 67-72 4x4's because of backspacing issues. I was thinking about using Toyota rims but would like to see some pics of some Toyota 4x4 rims folks are using on their 67-72 4x4's. Year and model of Toyota would be SUPER helpful also.

Just talk to your local tire dealer, preferably one that deals with agriculture vehicles and tell them you want a 6 lug 16x8 rim. They cost about 80 bucks apiece. I put some on my 69 GMC 4x4.

Really nice looking GMC. What do you have for springs?

Re: 4x4 16" 6 lug Rim

I don't know if this will help but my 59 has 74 axles with 74 stock 16" wheels. This photo kind of shows the offset. I don't know how it compares to 15" wheels, I would assume it is the same? The tires in the picture are 7.50 x 16 traction lug type. They fit nicely inside the fender wells.

You should be able to find some stock 6 lug 16 ralley wheels on the 88-98 trucks at the local junk yard. They came on the 3/4 ton semi floating 14 bolt (2500)

All the tire shops in ten miles give me the same answer. S.O.L.

And every salvage yard in 30 miles has crushed everything older than 2000 thanks to needing to make room for "CASH FOR CLUNKERS". Thanks Obama!
