6 inch with 38's I would have kept them if they were 37's. The 38's cleared ok, but when turing off center the tires would hit the fender well.

I will just say this about lifting a truck- You better be prepared to drop some serious money.

If you just do the bare essentials: lift kit plus large tires, you're going to screw up your vehicle and possibly wreck in a matter of a couple years.

You'll need larger brakes, a number of different modified parts to make the lift interact with the existing frame correctly, and probably cross over steering.

It's fun, but skimping on your setup can be dangerous to both you and your truck. I've learned this twice, and I'm in the middle of modifying things right now.

LOL. I aint no rookie to lifted chevys. I just wanted to see what 37'' tires with a 6'' lift looked like. Has anyone ever started a lifted truck post? That would be nice to see all the lifted trucks on the forum!

Theirs one in the 4x4 room strictly for 73-87. I like em nice and shinny but still not scared to get dirty. I hate em full of rust and about to fall apart and well just crappy

I wouldn't recommend 40" tires with half ton axles either. lol.
