tailgate band
anyone know how to take a tailgate band off... i saw one in a junkyard and it was in awesome shape just need to know how to remove it with out messing it up

just take the screws out from inside the tailgate.

There should be 4 shiny Alan/star screws inside the tailgate and it just comes right off.

dang it couldn't get it off today can't find my torx bits thanks for the info though.... but i'm thinking of getting it and sitting on it i might and then i might not use it I'll keep you in mind west tex

man the truck i got my stuff off of today was in awesome shape and to think it's going to be crushed i like to find that a-hole who traded it in for cash for clunkers. it kills are trucks big time before to long they will be gone grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i mean this thing was strieght as a arrow no dents nothing needed no work wish i could bribe them for the truck.... i just need the cab off it....

Eric you know of any good junkyards in florida that have some trucks with some good parts? There is nothing down here in miami, but I am willing to go a bit further north to go find some parts. I can make a day out of it.

theres a few up here.
one right behind the south florida fair grounds (pull and pay) ill get the names of places and where they are at and PM you. i think me and a buddy are going to one in the morning ill let you know
