I have two sets. The backs on one set fold forward, and on the other set, they dont. Is that normal, or are they all supposed to fold forward?

This has been covered on here before. It seems some folded and some didn't. I don't think we ever came up with a conclusion as to why. I have also seen them both ways...

Mine don't fold - they're from a '67 if that matters.

The seat covers stay in place and fit a lot better if you DON'T fold them forward. I recommend if they fold forward, you tach weld them so they won't. I know that sounds harsh, but when they pull out at the hinge point and wrinkle up...they look terrible.

If you decide to weld them, make sure you have them adjusted in the position you want. You could also tighten the pivot bolt up to make them really hard to move.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't weld them anyway. I'd make something that I could remove to keep it stationary.
