Re: titled Cab
Just FYI having rosette rivets is a federal fine the last time I checked and it was in the neighborhood of $10,000.00 for each one you were caught with

Re: titled Cab
I dont believe that. They were sold openly on this forum awhile back and I bought these from trim tags. a legit business.

Re: titled Cab
Just letting you know, not trying to start anything. I work for the DMV and I see people get fined for them all the time. I didnt realize that you could just buy them, but it is (in Tennessee) illegal to have them due to VIN swapping being illegal. I just didnt want anyone to get into any trouble. Sorry!

Re: titled Cab
If this site is to be trusted, it's illegal in Michigan to buy or sell Rosette Rivets:
http://law.onecle.com/michigan/750-m...l-750-415.html See Paragraph 5 of 750.415. Michigan obviously doesn't cover the US, but it's a starting point for a definitive answer on this subject. On the other hand, I can't find anything in Kentucky Revised Statutes or Kentucky Administrative Regulations that prohibit the sale, purchase, or posession of the rivets. Neither can I find anything that prohibits the removal of the VIN Plate. In fact, the state will issue you a replacement VIN plate (with a replacement #)if yours is lost, stolen, or damaged.
