brake upgrades?

I need to do a brake job, pads and rotors are pretty much done. But instead of trying to just replace the light duty brakes I'm trying to see if I can just upgrade them.

I know with some other trucks you can just swap out the spindles from other cars or suvs with better better brakes. But I don't know if that's the case for these.

My truck is an 84 c10 swb. And I want to keep the 5 bolt pattern.

Gm used pretty much the same disc brakes on everything in the 70s/80s.There is bigger brake kits but you need 17s or bigger to clear them.Look at http://www.abspowerbrake.com/ or http://www.classicperform.com/
