Backspacing
Hey I've got a '67 stepside shortbed and I'm looking at wheels and what will fit. I am planning on running 18x9.5 in the rear and 18x8 in the front and was wondering what the limitations would be for the backspacing because I know it might be a tight fit in the back with a 9.5" wheel. One of the wheels I'm looking at is the American Racing Torq Thrust II and they have a wide variety of sizes and was wondering how I could figure out a min back set and max that I would need. The other wheel I'm looking at is the Coys C5 and they only have the options of 4 or 4.5 in the front and 5 or 5.5 in the back. And if anyone is running a similar set up pictures would be great! Thanks.

Re: Backspacing
Also, what tire size (profile) would look right?

Re: Backspacing
I've got a 67 stepside as well only mine is bagged. I have been looking for the same info, I think I need new rims with a diff backspace to take care of my tires not fitting when I slam it. Good luck and I'm watching too!

Re: Backspacing
Yeah I just ordered a static ECE 4/6 drop on Monday and it's supposed to get here next Monday and I can't wait! I ordered 5 lug axles as well from CPP and so this is why I've been looking into all this stuff. My rear tire is also going to be pretty wide so I want to make sure the whole setup fits.
