88-98 bed, can I use the stock gas tank?
I am purchasing a 68 shortbed that has the more modern 88-98 bed on it. The tank in the cab needs to be replaced along with the sending unit and I was wondering if anyone has ever used the factory 88-98 tank and filler. If I can use the modern setup I would love to eliminate the tank from the cab.

Re: 88-98 bed, can I use the stock gas tank?
I think there`s not enough height under the cab.I could be wrong.I believe the frames are wider through there, too?I just can`t imagine enough room between the frame and driveshaft.I have never seen anyone do it,is all I know. The popuar way to move the tank is with a Blazer/Suburban rear-mount tank.
