new center console

this weekend did some work on the interior of the burb, picked up a custom console from a buddy for 20 bucks! moved the radio to the console and put some tweets in my upper console, this thing sounds great now! And yes I am going to paint the console...LOL I am going to 2-tone it and put the skull stripe down the middle.

Re: new center console

man I wish i'd have thought of putting my tweeters in my overhead console!!! I ended up putting mine in my "A" pillars and what a P.I.T.A. that was.

Looks alot better now. Like the color combo, really reflects your burb's exterior.

Re: new center console

will do MI2CHEVYS...LOL
texasfunk, looks like they used a thin piece of plywood and formed it to the top and then slicked it out with sandable primer or something like that, just a very thin coat...they may have wiped some putty on it...

thanks guys, here is a couple pics installed

Re: new center console

Center console looks wicked, but now you're gonna have to paint the lower dash area to match. It's a never ending process .

Re: new center console

I was wondering the same on the 4x4. I was also wondering about the taillights on the badass slammed one. I don't see the trim ring around them. OH yeah "praise the lowered"

the sides look like 1/2 or 3/4 inch plywood......now for the top....you can get kerfed plywood....i have forgotten the brand name...check at woodworker supply businesses.....about a 1/4 in thick....it will bend in that contour....it only bends in one direction....but with a console like Justpball's it only bends in on direction so that stuff would work..... cut sides to shape....staple or nail bending plywood to the sides..... then lay up fiberglass over the 1/4 in material.....bondo prime and paint to match.....there you have it...i hope this helps
