White Steel wheel paint code/Close enough spray can?

Hey,
Looking to freshen up a set of white steel wheels for my c-20 suburban.
Does anyone have the paint code so I can order a some paint?
Or is there a spray can available that is close enough?

I also have some "clear" wheel paint from duplicolor I can spray over the top to keep the paint looking nice...anyone try it before?

Why not just go with a decent quality white spray paint? Way cheaper than getting a custom mixed white, and touch ups are only a Walmart away.

Hi Blake,

I went all out ... maybe even overkill with the wheels on dad's GMC.





I stripped them down to bare steel, epoxy primed, and painted them with Nason Ful-Thane single stage urethane in GM #12 white. According to the old paint chip books I searched through, this shade of white was commonly used on GM trucks throughout the 70's and 80's as both a body/2-tone color and on wheels, bumpers, and such.

You can likely get this color in a Dupli-Color or Plasti-Kote touch-up spray paint if you don't want to go to the added expense of a urethane paint.

Those look great! I will get something like that in spray cans via some website. I plan on stripping them down also. Hope they turn out like yours!
Did you use any sort of clear coat on them? opps....saw you said single stage.....

IMHO, single stage W/catalyst is the best way to go for appearance and longevity, that said, I've had pretty good results using Rustolium "automotive" spray cans. Two coats and let bake a couple of days in the hot Florida sun. With no care at all, it holds up pretty well for a couple of years.

Today, I'm prepping the wheels on my 1 ton tow rig for a squirt of sunrise red. Not a real "bare metal" prep job, just a scuff and squirt to see if I like the red against the white cab and black flatbed, The rattle can gets the nod. RED

I used Duplicolor's White Engine Enamel and it worked out great. Using this also has an advantave since it has a ceramic coating in the paint, Brake dust wipes right off no scrubbing required.
