Need new 1bbl Carb
This morning when I started my truck up, it was running really poorly, so I shut it off, popped the hood, and my Rochester Monojet was literally dumping gas, and I know need a new carb...anyone have any suggestions on where I can get a replacement?
Did a google search, but didn't yield much of any interest...ebay, etc. I have 2 weeks before I need to use the truck to move about 400 miles, so would like to act quickly...any help is appreciated. I'm running a 250 c.i. I6 with the single 1bbl carb. Thanks, |

Re: Need new 1bbl Carb
i'd take a screwdriver hold the pointy end and whack the fuel bowl with the handle and see if that helped

Re: Need new 1bbl Carb
You probably have a piece of foriegn material in the needle & seat. Try this. Replace the fuel filter behind the big nut where the line goes in. Pinch the rubber fuel hose down at the pump with vise grips. Start the engine & run it till it dies. Remove the vice grip & start it again. This will usually flush the dirt on through. If not you have a bad float or needle & seat. They are noy too hard to fix.
