Lund MoonVisor Wiring Help
Hey guys, I'm not sure if this should go here or in electrical.
I have a Lund MoonVisor that I purchased, replaced all the bulbs and lenses, but I have no idea how it is wired because there is only one wire. This wire has to be power because it goes from light to light, but there aren't any ground wires. I am wanting to put this on my truck, but I need to know if I'm gonna have to rewire it before I put it on? So, if anybody here can help me out with some instructions, ideas, or thoughts, please do. This visor has my wiring skills all confused because IDK how it is grounded to the truck with there only being a power wire. Sorry for rambling, just lost. Thanks Benjamin.

Re: Lund MoonVisor Wiring Help
Test it first. I would think that they would have to be a ground....

Re: Lund MoonVisor Wiring Help
your entire body is a ground. the lights are powered through the power wire, and they are grounded through the visor frame which is attached to the body, therefore completing ground. its kinda like your dome light in the truck.

Re: Lund MoonVisor Wiring Help
Hmm. Is there a ground wire ran inside the fiberglass? I don't see how it is grounded through the fiberglass unless I guessed right.

Re: Lund MoonVisor Wiring Help
either way, if its grounded by some mount, i would remove it and run your own ground... dont want to create problems for your lighing later on..

Re: Lund MoonVisor Wiring Help
agreed. if you have a power to the lights. simply run a ground from each bulb bucket.

Re: Lund MoonVisor Wiring Help
That's what I feared. I just mocked the visor up, and it looks like it may not fit even though it's off a Blazer. I may just end up getting a normal sun visor and adding my clearance lights to the cab.

Re: Lund MoonVisor Wiring Help
Hey guys, I figured it out. The visor was missing a wire and sure enough it was the ground. So I added a ground and put it on the truck and it looks good, got a bit of a bubble of the drivers side, but I got to live with it.
