step beds

What year step beds will fit on my 85 and vice versa. I have buddy who has a 76 stepper and he wants a straight bed.

All step beds 1973-87 are the same. Aside from fenders and steps, all step beds 1963-1987 are the same. Aside from fenders steps and cross sill mount locations, all 1954-1987 step beds are the same.

one thing to watch out for is the gas filler. In the earlier models it was on the passenger side as opposed to the driver. I *think* it was in 80 that they made the switch to driver side. I may be a year or so off on that.

Sounds right to me. I think they did make the switch in 80'.
