I thought all (2) headlight radiator core supports where the same

Managed to pick up the last remaining pieces for my 82' to 85' front clip swap yesterday (grill & parklights). Got home and realized that now I need a (4) headlight core support to make this work. It seems that when they moved the parklights from the bumper the radiator support, GM changed it up. This sucks because I have already stripped and repainted my original one. I guess I am headed back to the pick and pull for a new core support unless I can modify the one I already have. Any ideas??????

Re: I thought all (2) headlight radiator core supports where the same

Looks like I may take a day off this week and go back to the pick and pull and snag the radiator support off one of the 85's they have their with single headlights..........Only $ 40 bucks but, it gets me one step closer to getting the truck back on the road and all of the parts out of my basement and my wife's prying eyes

Re: I thought all (2) headlight radiator core supports where the same

I wish I could stumble across a single headlight version for my '85, as mine has rotted away. I find a lot of the dual/stacked headlight versions locally, but so far have not encountered one that would be a direct fit for me. I'm not interested in switching over to the dual setup.

From what I can gather via the LMC site, there were indeed different versions of the 2-headlight support, depending on year. I can't recall the year cut-off, off the top of my head.

Good luck with your front-end swap!
