4l80e trans question...

hey guys, i need to know what size/type thread is on the trans cooler inlet/outlet. i was going to try and use the stock quick release lines but i remember seeing someone unscrewing them and putting regular -an style adaptors on there. ring any bells? a link would be very helpful! thanks!!

1\4 npt maybe. I have done it before and I think it is 1\4 but could be 3\8 npt. I plan on changing mine to #5 AN with a pipe to AN straight adapter. Jay

They are 1/4 NPST National pipe straight thread. Here are a couple of options


Here are some that will clip into your factory quick disconnects and are AN -6



And these are the straight thread to AN -6


I have heard of a couple of people cracking their transmission cases using NPT (taper thread)
