5 lug rallye wheel question

Ok so I know the backspacing on a 6 lug rallye is deeper than the 5 lug rallys 15x8 Ive seen, but my question is, on the 15x8 5 lug rallys, were there 2 different backspacing options?

Re: 5 lug rallye wheel question

Do not really know the answer to your question; However here is something I found, I purchased a 72 short bed with 5 lug rally wheels, when I got it all torn down to the frame I noticed that one of the front wheels was closer to the tie rod end than the other side, it was close to an inch different, not sure where the wheels came from but one of them is different. Good luck with you project, have a blessed day

Sounds like one of the wheels was a 15 x 7 and the other was a 15 x 8.

Re: 5 lug rallye wheel question

yeah I could have sworn I saw a deeper 15x8 5 lug set of rims on a 70 2wd 1/2 ton yesterday, If I could find a deeper dish like the 6 luggers Id be set!
