passenger door question...

When i changed my cab over from the rotten 67 cab to a cab off of a 72 cheyenne super i noticed this dimple on the passengers door.... any of you guys know what this could have been for?

you know i always wanted to know i do know that they are on 71 72 only
hey could you post some pics of the holes for the door panels and the scerw hole too because im gonna put 72 door panels in my 67 chevy so i need to find out the difference thank you

thats a screw hole on 72 doors. It was there to help keep the doors from coming apart

It also helps sandwich the vent window in tighter, reducing wind noise.
