Water Temp Unit
Current ride has a Edelbrock intake.....
My current Temp Unit is located between #1 & 3 cyl. For wiring considerations, I wanted to move it back to the intake..... Question being..........will this affect the true temp?

It probably will affect the "true" temperature, but I cannot believe that it is significantly different. Chevrolet ran for years with the sensor located in the intake manifold and I don't know of any problems connected with the intake manifole location. I assume that you are using the factory dash gauge, which is more of an indicator than a gauge.

The intake manifold reading will be slightly lower. Even more so with an aluminum intake due to the increased heat transfer.
Remember that the GM engineers put the sensor between the cylinders because it is the hottest location of coolant flow and will be your best indication of cylinder temperature effects on the coolant.
