Thinning the herd.

Howdy ya'll. My current project is a '67 GMC SWB Fleetside. It was/is a complete & running truck, but in desperate need of some attention. Mainly rust repair and a tranny replacement. As you all know once these things get parked in the shop and work begins- they miraculously take on a life of their own and become much more "intensive". So beyond the normal cab rust repair and tossin' in a new trans, I've also embarked on swapping out the rear leaf spring setup with either an OEM trailing arm suspension w/ bags or installing a triangulated 4-link getup.
Here's the fly in the ointment. I have a '67 LWB Fleetside w/ coil spring rear that is also a complete and running truck and in fact was my DD until about a month ago. Granted she ain't much to look at but she goes like stink and has never let me down. The boss say's "something's gotta go". Now I could scavenge the parts off the Longbed and toss them in my shorty (with some minor fab work of course.) to make the suspension swap, and I could rob the TH350 for my project too, and save any other useable parts as spares or swap-meet fodder. Or I could take the time and effort to swap spring setups and sell the LWB as a complete truck. Or I could just sell the LWB as is and
use the proceeds to get the 4-link kit? Whaddya'll think?

Re: Thinning the herd.

My vote: Sell as is and use the money for the suspension parts. Once you start to have to modify things, your time becomes an investment as well.
