63 chevy brasil

[I]Hi guis, my name is Flavio, i’m from Brasil, my friend Carlos who posted here his 59, encourage me to post too, so here we are, I have a 63 chevy who also is known here as Chevrolet Brasil. This is an exclusive model that was only produced in 1963. It doesn t have the original bed so I decide a step side bed with International Pick Up fenders. 261 L6 with 3 on the floor. Independent front suspension from a C10 frame. 15x10 rear wheels with 295/50/15 and 18x8 with 255/60/15 in the front. Yellow painted…so i hope you enjoy it…

"task force trucks" were the advertising lingo chevy used to sell the 1955 2nd series to 1959 models in their dealer brochures and advertising.

Re: 63 chevy brasil

Thanks for posting that truck , do you have anymore information on that model ,
I knew that the brazilian trucks were a little different but had no idea they were that different , the only thing I recognise on that truck is the X rod in front of the rad and the 6 bolt wheels. Please post some more

Re: 63 chevy brasil

this is an original model..

these truck were produced only in 1963, had 261 L6, 3 speed on the tree...

the step side bed was never available.,
In 2005 GM celebrated 80 years in Brasil, so they went driving 3 Brasil trucks until the US Detroit GM Museun. see more in this link:

Re: 63 chevy brasil

The cab looks like a modified 47-54 style , the link shows this better on the Blue/ white single head light truck , the later ones had a different roof cap

Re: 63 chevy brasil

I particularly find this model 63 well been similar to the chevy apache, because of being 4 lighthouses, the grill also seems enough....

Re: 63 chevy brasil

Side by Side comparisons help.
Shape of the upper front window is different than the 55 Ford F100 (1st picture below), yet the cab is narrow like the AD. Wierd..
