Question Turn Signals??

Hello everyone, I am a newbie to this site and my truck as well. I am having a problem and need help!!! Problem is my tail lights are dim as well as turn signals in rear, now when i put the truck in gear they get dimmer (can barely see them) and my turns signals flash the opposite. Meaning when i put on the left turn signal the right one flashes and when i put the right turn signal on the left one flashes but this only happens when truck is in gear. They work fine in park just dim.....weird huh??? Can any one shed some light on this subject?? Truck is 86 c10, got it bagged a month ago the tail lights worked fine before then maybe something happen when they took the bed off?

Re: Turn Signals??

you might have 1 a bad ground or 2 a wire pinched some where even 3 if you have a trailer harness make sure no wires are spliced wrong... my truck reverse lights would stay on and the dash lights would come on when i put it in reverse... checked the trailer harness and found it was spliced wrong so i disconnected and everything works awesome...

Re: Turn Signals??

I agree with a bad/not connected ground lead, Most are on the driver side near the tail light screwed to a bed rail.

Re: Turn Signals??

sounds like it could be pinched some where on the frame the harness run down the driverside... i would check that and what restrorob said
