Wilwood GM D52 calipers

I saw these calipers in a jegs catalog today. Will they fit/work on our trucks?
p/n 950-120-10936RD, 950-120-10937RD
do our trucks use a 1'' rotor or a 1.28'' rotor?

Re: Wilwood GM D52 calipers

That caliper looks like the one for the 13" rotors. The truck rotors are 11" . WES

Re: Wilwood GM D52 calipers

It would seem to me that the diameter of the rotor is irrelevant. The thickness is the critical part.

Yes they will work. I have them on my truck. The slotted drilled rotors came from Autozone and are stock size 1.28". I'm a Wilwood dealer.

Take a look in the Vendor Marketplace. Capt Fab has the brackets to use those on the rear. I believe CPP has the calipers listed at a great price too.

No, they are a direct replacement for the standard GM D52 caliper-

From the Wilwood site- "The D52 caliper is a direct bolt-on 2 piston replacement for the factory original single calipers on many 1968-96 GM Passenger Vehicles and Trucks."

Re: Wilwood GM D52 calipers

About 2 1/2 years ago a friend of mines brother who works at wilwood asked if they could use my truck to measure & template for a prototype brake system for our model trucks. they had the truck on my avatar for two days.It was in a clean room with techs in white coats the whole nine yards ! tons of calibration tooling & I never even took a picture. all that and I never got the prototype brakes ether. any way its cool to know the wilwood brake kit for our trucks is based on my truck. not even sure the kit is done or not. best of luck, ..Pat

Don't recall. Just call up Autozone and ask for slotted drilled rotor for a 72 half ton. They had to order it.
