SPID/Trim Question

My SPID says my truck came with "Black Vinyl Trim". Is that just to denote the color of the base model interior, or does that mean something else?

Re: SPID/Trim Question

I think that's just the interior trim.

Re: SPID/Trim Question

Usually denotes the color of the dashpad, seat covers, steering wheel, inside door panel, etc. After 40 years, lot of parts could have been changed including the glove box door, though. My 69 had totally different info than what it came with.

Re: SPID/Trim Question

you have a base model, no trim option package. That option is just a description of color for the base model pieces.

Mine's pretty much been left alone. Everything matches the SPID right down to the door edge guards. I kind of thought it was just listed on the SPID to give the color of the interior. I just wanted to confirm it. Thanks guys!!!

Re: SPID/Trim Question

Your truck does not have the Custom or the Cheyenne option on the spid, so it means that your truck left the factory with the base level trim, in black.
