Size: 50.7 KBAre the windshield the same for 67 thru 72 trucks? I need to replace mine and the title says 72 but the previose guy said that the front clip had been changed to a 67. I have had more than person tell me that it is more like a a 67 than 72, because it has a hand E-brake instead of a floor E-brake. Side markers are not present and have not been covered over (bondoed), so Iwas told by a body guy at the chevy dealorship

what are some of the signs to look for?

Re: front windshield replacement

they should all be the same. And your Cab would be a 72 cab if the VIN is a 72 and it is titled as a 72. A 67 front end would only be the fenders, grill, and hood that were changed.

Re: front windshield replacement

It should'nt matter on the windshield, but that cab does look like a 72, A 67 would have the gas pedal mounted on two studs on the floor, Plus those doors havd a screw below the vent window which, only came on 72 doors. Others should chime in who know for sure

Re: front windshield replacement

Is the rearview mirror mounted on the windshield or the cab?

Re: front windshield replacement

I would say that is not a 72 cab then, 72 the mirror was mounted to the windshield. Maybe someone else could chime in and clarify.

This is true. Up to 71 had the mirror mounted on the cab, 72 is mounted on the windshield.
