Water in the distributor cap?

Does anybody ever get water in their distributor cap on their 350's? I just bought my 68 and noticed the location of the distributor at the back. I once had a Mustang with the same distributor location and I always got water in the cap when it rained or when I washed the car. Is this a problem with the Chevy 350's?

To answer your question, I have never had a problem with it in either of my trucks. IIRC dont all fords have the distributor located in the front?

The only time I have ever had an issue with moisture in a distributor cap on a Chevy small block of any kind was when I had a cracked cap. These vehicles are designed with the rear mounted distributor in mind and if you have water pouring down on one of these then you have some serious issues going on with the hood and cowl. What kind of engine did you have in your Mustang? All Ford engines I have ever dealt with had a front mounted distributor.

Thanks guys, that is a relief to know.

My Mustang was just a mid 80's, crappy model with a 6 cylinder. (I did have a 67 Shelby though in high school but the distributor was in the front.)
