A little fun this weekend
I've been waiting for this day for nearly 6 months. I couldn't take it anymore so I decided to take my two favorite toys and kiddos to the lake. Here are some pics.

Re: A little fun this weekend
There's nothing like being out on the water. I can't wait to do it again. That was the second time I have used the Blazer to tow the boat. The temps hardly get out of the cold with the aluminum radiator and the new u-joints seemed to work great. The lake was really low last summer, in most places you needed a 4x4 to launch and pull out. Ol' Yeller pulled it out no problem. Luckily, with all the spring rain that we had it has risen about 30'.

Re: A little fun this weekend
I have a vintage Draw-Tite hitch. A couple of pics of it on my other thread "my build story and i'm sticking to it." @ Big Block: Yeah the rain is nice, Last year I think we had 178 days consecutive w/o rain. That was a rough summer.

Re: A little fun this weekend
Looks nice! I took the boat to Medina this past Saturday, it was good to see some water in it. Lots of debris though, we were dodging logs left and right!

Re: A little fun this weekend
I thought that looked like Medina. It really cooled off today but was a hot one yesterday. One of these days my K5 will be ready and we need to get together.

Re: A little fun this weekend
Nice blazer & boat. Does the blazer pull it ok with the short wheelbase? I was wondering how the Medina was doing. Haven't been there in about 3 years! It was way too low last year. Hopefully we will get more rain to continue to clean it out, but as of now, it's not looking good for the next 10 days or so.

Re: A little fun this weekend
Not sure which weekend you are talking about (maybe today!), but I'm pretty booked up between weddings, wedding showers, baby showers, etc for the next few weeks. Thats why we went last weekend when we had a little time. I will let you know if something changes.

Re: A little fun this weekend
Thanks for the looks guys. I really enjoy family time, the Blazer, ant the boat. @ Capn: the Blazer pulls the boat great. I have yet to feel any instability due to the short wheel base. You are def invited to the next Blazer/Jimmy meet in San Antonio. Btw, it's gonna be soon. Anyone else is more than welcome too.

It gets the job done. In style too. The new seats will make it more comfortable to drive.
