Help me bag the rear of my 1959 Chevy 1/2 ton

So I want to lower the rear of my Chevy 1/2 ton 2 to 3" but add air bags so I can raise it up a little when I am working and still haul heavy loads. I was thinking of getting the Gambino customs axle brackets and running them inboard of the frame rails. Would it be better to mount them to the out side of the frame rails so I would have more roll stability? Should I do something totally different?

Here are some pictures of what I am working with. And a picture of the axle bracket kit I am talking about.

Thanks for any help or pictures

Dave

This is how it sits now. Not going to lay frame, not even going to have onboard air. Just some shrader valves for when I need to pump it up.

If you wanted to go on the outside of the frame rail, you could just buy a bolt on "helper bag" kit, many of which just bolt on over top of your leaf springs and would come with shrader valves and lines to reach the back of your truck for ease of adjustment.

Do you have any specs for those bags. I'm planning a slam-down no my panel and I like the look of the kits you listed. Hows the Burb Build coming Mr. Pops?

If you're talking about the pic I posted, I just searched for "helper bags" under google images to show an example of what I was talking about, so I don't know the specs on them.. As for My 58 Burb, I still haven't found anybody who sells 1/4 panels for it, so I'm considering trying to get it to pass inspection with the body just the way it is, but with all new brakes, front end parts etc to make it safe, and drive it the way it is. Just got a 62 short step thats taking up my garage time, so the Burb is on the back burner for a bit..
