Re: LS ecu mounting in 67-72?

I layed mine flat, right behind the speedo - used a small bungee cord under it and the steering column harness - it's hidden and accessable - I put some dynamat around edges to cushion it from the brake pedal bracket. My cab is crowded a/c vents/hose, radio, vintage air box.

Re: LS ecu mounting in 67-72?

I could not get mine to reach to under the glove box. So I did this.

no pics after I painted it black and mounted it but it is easy to get to and looks good.

Re: LS ecu mounting in 67-72?

That is sweet, but the engine is in my truck so I can't get to that area to drill holes or weld the tabs on. I do like the idea of using the factory box. I think I am going to mount mine to the backside of the radiator support on the drivers side.

Re: LS ecu mounting in 67-72?

Mounted to the A/C evaporator housing with riv-nuts. It's not a stock ECU and is substantially lighter; I'm not sure you could get away with that on a stock ECU. Will try to get pictures up soon.

I mounted mine under the dash on the drivers side. I built a bracket and welded it to the brake support.

Lightbulb Re: LS ecu mounting in 67-72?

Mine is in the glove box. I mounted the little LED in the under dash hole in the truck for the check engine light. It was already there. At some point I'll move it to the dash it self.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: LS ecu mounting in 67-72?

I have an older vintage air setup and it takes all the room under most of the dash. Gonna have to look at it a little harder.

Put Vintage Air in 70 C10 which did away with blower motor. Mounted to firewall where motor was.

Mines mounted to the driver side inner fender on a fabbed bracket but this tread now has me thinking about relocating it/
