Ol '71 Saucy Senorita...

Here's a few pictures of my ol senorita. I just got her lowered and she's a lot of fun. The best part is that i only have about $2800.00 in her. The first one is the day that I picked her up for $1050.00. I don't think that I did to bad.

Looks good. I always liked the red primer. The reason I did mine in black is cause it is actually John Deere Blitz Black, so maybe it will last awhile. How much is it lowered?

The front has 2 1/2" drop spindles with 3 springs. The rear has a flip kit with 3" blocks.

She sure did come down a bit.I`m using red oxide on my ride.I`m a poet and don`t know it.What I`m using is a sealing primer and will last.I`ve always used red oxide from back in the day when lacquer primer was the best way to go.

Great looking truck, and it looks much better with that attitude adjustment.

What's next?

Re: Ol '71 Saucy Senorita...

The motor finally gave up on me. I have another one at the engine builder as we speak. It started out as a mild rebuild but it is turning into a real ground pounder. Just worried about the rest of the truck now.

Re: Ol '71 Saucy Senorita...

Some updates on my engine. The bottom end is put together, now wait to get the heads from the machine shop. Still have to get a torque converter and transmissiom. I'm trying to keep the whole build old school low budget, so we used what we had. With that said here is what I have
The motor is a .40 over 350, keith black 2 eyebrow flat top pistons, wolverine cam 488 lift, edelbrock performer intake, holley 750 carb. The heads are old school also. 64cc gm heads. Im running harland sharp 1.5 3/8 roller rockers. I have long tubes and flowmaster 40 series mufflers. It is going to be night and day from the ol worn out 350 that was in it.

Re: Ol '71 Saucy Senorita...

And I kinda got a wild hair up my ass and decided that it would be a good idea to put some 20's on it, paint it blue then do a fake patina job on it, and what the hell we might as well slap on a door logo on there too. Still waiting on tires, but accepting donations for those who want to help out.
