After 20 yrs plus , playin in my hood, I have a crazy red headed gal that just dont like my toys(oh well?) She has called the popo a couple times on me tuning the Harley(early eve ,around 6-6 :30). Well, I lit the old longhorn tonight, & I think she liked it even less than the Harley(lol!) As soon as the old 383 fired in my garage, the old gal sticks her head out the back door......so me being the good neighbor that I am pull the old truck out, warm her up, then back her into the garage & do a 6000 RPM HOLESHOT! Her back door comes open again, & I figure she would have a smile(it sounded good to me!) But no, she has a frown on her face(go figure?) Me & my old gal bought a "license to fight", & I dont need to deal with the crazy red head(lol!) Maybe one of you younger bucks can put a smile on her face....crazyAL

i know how you feel im young and one of my old neighbors keep calling the cops on me every time i would ride my old three wheeler it is loud has an 18inch glass pack welded on but she hated me for it and every time i seen her i would wave and rev it way up lol funny how some people hate them sounds i love them

Lol your neighbour would love me! I got dual glasspacks on my truck, An RMZ 250 Motocross bike, HAD an RC nitro car and my lawn mower is just plain loud haha

Though good thing my neighbours are all seniors and suffering from hearin loss or the Friendly 5-0 would be a common site outside my house

Im 53yrs old,but goin on 18 When I was a kid, I always loved the loudest toys(and still do!)Been a rebel all my life, & just dont like someone tellin me I caint do that! I have one neighbor that jams with his elect guitar(trys to keep it down), but we all tell the old man "CRANK IT UP"! We want to hear it too! Most of the people, stuck on these 50' wide properties are pretty cool....hell, we pay our taxes ,& do what we like. 3 or 4 guys have stock cars, a BB 67 Maro in the mix, a couple drag cars, lots of bikes & lots of drinkin & loud music on the weekends(it dont get better than that) If it goes fast its cool.....if its fast & loud "WAY COOL" crazyAL

Just remember: The FIRST thing one must learn is to NEVER, EVER---- POOP in the nest. It makes sleeping a bit hard to do. Burn outs in the neighborhood sounds great to you, but the locals can make your day dreary.

I kinda agree. I have four large dogs and my neighbor is loud, stereos, cars, bikes. My dogs freak out and start mauling each other. Not cool...
On the other hand, my dogs love it when I fire up my truck.

I had an ol' neighbor at my frist rental years ago that just loved my Ranger. When I would leave at 0430 for PT in the morning, I would just crank it and let it warm a little. As soon as I started to leave her outside lights would come on and I would watch her open the door. She never did say anything to me or call the cops, but you could tell from her face she didn't like to be up that early.

thanks there 69_longhorn i tried to keep it down for a while but when she came running out to the road and cussed me in front of my kids saying she was gonna call the cops i started giving her a reason to wasnt like i did it every day i work out of state and only home every other weekend so thats not bad

ABOUT 30 SUM YEARS AGO I BOUGHT A TRAILOR IN A TRAILOR PARK. (THE HOUSE I WAS RENTING GOT UP TO $90 A MONTH RENT & THAT SEEMED INSANE TO ME) (HAVEN'T PAID A DIME IN RENT SINCE) THERE WAS A GUY A FEW DOORS DOWN THAT WOULD LEAVE FOR WORK ABOUT 20 MINUTES BEFORE I HAD TO GET UP. HE HAD A MID SEVENTIES DODGE PICKUP THAT DIDN'T RUN SO PRETTY GOOD. HE GET OUT THERE IN THE MORNING & CRANK & CRANK & CRANK UNTIL IT FINALLY STARTED, THEN HE WOULD HAVE TO SIT IN & FEATHER THE GAS TO KEEP IT RUNNING TILL IT WAS WARM ENOUGH TO DRIVE. (PICTURE WAKING UP TO THE SOUND OF A DODGE STARTER FROM THAT ERA EVERY MORNING) I FINALLY WENT OVER & TALKED HIM INTO GOING WITH ME TO THE PARTS STORE WITH ME, & I DID A COMPLETE TUNEUP ON IT FOR HIM. PROBLEM SOLVED. IT'S AMAZING, SOUNDS THAT WE TAKE FOR GRANTED, THAT BOTHER THE DOGSH!T OUTA OTHER PEOPLE. JOHN
